Tourist information
Luleå is situated by the Gulf of Bothnia, and is a part of the Swedish
Lapland. It is a high-tech town and home to several world-leading
companies, for example has its advanced steel industry made the town to
a metallurgical centre. Luleå is also the shopping centre of northern
Sweden. You will find useful links on www.scanmet.info.
The weather in June is usually like the mid-European spring, with sunny
days (approximately 15 degrees) and chilly evenings. Since you will be
in the land of the midnight sun, you will notice that it never gets
dark!

The exhibition is the ideal setting for companies to present their
latest technologies and developments for international engineers and
scientists from iron and steel companies, research institutes,
universities, and suppliers. The exhibition room will house the morning
