In June 2012, researchers from the industry, institutes and universities from all over the world are meeting for three days to exchange knowledge and experience about process development within iron and steel production. At SCANMET you will meet the foremost process developers in the sector along with decision makers from the industry and organisations. Take the opportunity to experience the exotic region in northern Sweden where the sun never sets, the cuisine is excellent and landscape is magnificent. Welcome to SCANMET IV!
The conference focuses on research and development activities in steel production, covering all process steps from iron making to continuous casting. The purpose is to bring together internationally recognised engineers and scientists from iron and steel producers, research institutes, universities and equipment suppliers to share knowledge and exchange ideas. The major topics are process development, optimisation and simulation of process systems. The conference spans three days in four parallel sessions. In conjunction to the conference we offer a conference dinner, a visit to the Swerea MEFOS plant facilities and post conference tours.
